AFA-CWA Sponsored Supplemental Benefits Annual Open Enrollment

MEC Benefits Committee

It is that time of year when open enrollment for the voluntary supplemental benefits sponsored by AFA-CWA will occur. For 2025, our annual open enrollment is planned for April 1 – April 25, 2025, in the seven larger hub bases (DEN, EWR, IAD, IAH, LAX, ORD & SFO) as well as at GUM. (Information on the specific base schedules will be published next week on our unitedafa.org website.)

As in the past, National Group Protection (NGP) is the exclusive provider of supplemental benefits underwritten by CAIC and sponsored by AFA-CWA.  At present, there are approximately 27,000 policies active for AFA-CWA Members.

As our broker, NGP provides dedicated customer service where telephones are answered live. NGP representatives act as advocates on behalf of our Members. In addition, claim forms can be accessed and filed online through the CAIC Claims site, at www.ngp-ins.com/united-afa. This exceptional opportunity will be available for a limited time.

Benefit offerings will include the following group coverages:

  • Group Accident
