Inflight Safety and Resource Expo: Coming to a Base Near You!

Inflight Safety and Resource Expo: Coming to a Base Near You!

As Aviation's First Responders and last line of defense, safety is the foundation of everything we do. Each day, your Local and MEC Safety, Health and Security Committee works with United management to improve and advocate for safety initiatives, many of which create improvements throughout the industry. When we work together to share and collaborate on aviation safety, we set the bar for what a true culture of safety looks like in American aviation.

As part of our safety partnership with United, we are pleased to announce the upcoming Flight Attendant Safety and Resource Expos coming to a Base near you. The Inflight Safety Expos will allow Flight Attendants to engage with representatives from Inflight Safety who specialize in areas directly related to our work as Flight Attendants. Additionally,  Members of the Union’s Safety, Health & Security Committee who participate in the Inflight Safety Action Program (ISAP) & the Fatigue Review Committee (FRC) will be there. Representatives from the AFA Employee Assistance Program & Professional Standards, along with representation from United’s Corporate Medical Department, who support United’s EAP Program are planning to attend, and more. The Expo allows Flight Attendants to ask questions and learn more about safety programs. This is crucial in the foundation of promoting safety and wellness in our careers.

We invite everyone to join AFA and United's safety teams at your base for food, swag, and, of course, SAFETY!

Safety Expo Base Dates:

  • SFO - March 20th
  • LAX - May 1st
