Our AFA EAP Flight Attendant Drug and Alcohol Program (FADAP) has highlighted the potential risks associated with CBD oil. We want to emphasize to all Flight Attendants that CBD oil production remains unregulated. As a result, any assertions that it guarantees a negative drug test result may not be reliable.
It's important to understand that any Flight Attendant who tests positive for marijuana (THC) is considered a test positive by the Company. There are no exceptions made for medicinal usage, claims of unintentional exposure to second-hand smoke, or unknowingly consuming products containing marijuana.
This same policy applies to Flight Attendants who attribute their positive drug test results to CBD use. Our company maintains a steadfast commitment to its drug policy. Therefore, we urge all Flight Attendants to take necessary precautions to avoid finding themselves facing an unexpected positive test result.
Furthermore, terminated Flight Attendants and safety-sensitive employees can attest to the potential risks CBD use poses to their continued employment.
