A message from Local Executive Council President, Kimberly Burckhalter
Monday is Labor Day, a day to take a moment and look to your friends, family, coworkers and say thank you—thank you for everything they do each time they start their workday. The workers have kept and continue to keep this country moving forward.
Also, remember the countless union members who have fought for overtime pay, an eight-hour workday and weekends. We continue to honor those who take action to raise wages, ensure a safe workplace and strive to make sure future generations have it just a little bit better than we do.
We urge you to do your part when possible as a show of solidarity and commitment to the cause—even if that is something as simple as wearing your AFA pin.
