United has revised the Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs). These SPDs outline the benefits included and how the Traditional plans operate. They provide information on general plan details, medical, dental, and vision benefits, the flexible spending program, and long-term disability benefits.
As mandated by Federal Law, companies must share details about employee benefits every five years. Accordingly, the latest SPD was distributed to all current employees and retirees.
Please be aware that the release of the SPD does not signal the commencement of the open enrollment for 2024.
The Benefits Open Enrollment period for active employees is set from October 30 to November 17, while for retirees, it's from October 9 to October 27.
